NHL power forward Evander Kane has a passion for fine wines to match his love for delivering powerful plays on the ice. When he set out to create his wine brand, Dovetail, he envisioned a design that would reflect his appreciation for sophisticated blends and luxury, rather than focusing solely on his hockey achievements.
Inspired by the Japanese-style dovetail joint, the design embodies themes of precision, strength, and harmony.
The full-wrap label design, featuring die-cut accents, subtly conveys strength through connection while tastefully incorporating Kane’s number 91. Across the website, social media, and launch events, the imagery maintained a cohesive theme of balance.
